This series is based on the book Midnight's Children by Salman Rushdie.

Born at the stroke of midnight at the exact moment of India's independence, Saleem Sinai is a special child. However, this coincidence of birth has consequences he is not prepared for: telepathic powers connect him with 1,000 other 'midnight's children' all of whom are endowed with unusual gifts. What makes life so difficult and complex? Our life is strongly influenced by our parents, our country of residence, culture, religion. Besides that we experience friendship, love and hate. Furthermore, we very much depend on the health of our body and mind.

SOLIDARITY - I am everyone everything whose being-in-the-world affected was affected by mine.

NIGHTMARE - Children are the vessels into which adults pour their poison.

PURITY - I am who I am, that's all there is.

LOVE - Women have always been the ones to change my life.

DISINTEGRATION - Only a broken creature spilling pieces of itself into the street, because I have been so-many too-many persons.

FUTURE - It may even have occurred to me to wonder what was beginning, what was ending.
